Multi-Sensor Data Collection and Fusion
Enhanced intelligence with multi-sensor data collection
MDA’s integrated sensor configurations, tailored for unique applications, combine EO, IR and SAR sensors, simplifying payload integration.
MDA’s multi-intelligence, multi-channel sensors combine electro-optical (EO), infrared (IR) and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) sensors into integrated airborne systems providing multi-wavelength sensing information synthesis creating all-weather, day and night collection capability from a single payload. Improved information layering through fusing simultaneous collections from each sensor offers analysts and customers multiple benefits:
- Improved situational awareness and assessment, including robust detection, tracking and identification
- Simultaneous, consistent-geometry collections permit real-time image layering, increasing available information
- Mission continuity through weather variations, day and night
- Single multi-int payloads simplify installation, logistics and cost
Multi-sensor data fusion for high quality data analysis
Information is presented to analysts and users after image chain optimization, sophisticated algorithm-based data processing and image formation, and data content layering - all recognized strengths - to create more information enabling better decisions. This processing chain is easily extensible to space-based capabilities.
